Phil Crouch, Managing Director

Phil’s career in the IT industry spans nearly 40 years and has involved a variety of markets including Central and Local Government and major commercial companies. Prior to joining mtl he held sales management positions with Kienzle, Datapoint and MDIS (now Northgate) where he was responsible for all sales in the UK to the Trades Union sector. Phil heads the MTL management team and is responsible for all sales and marketing. As well as ensuring a steady flow of new business Phil has overall responsibility for all customer relationships and partnerships with third party suppliers.

Andy Norgate, Development Director

Andy started his working life in administration for a trades union then moving into software development before joining mtl in 1985. Andy has been one of the principal architect of mtl’s software solutions using his experience as a user in developing easily operated software for the Not-for Profit sector. Andy is responsible for all software development. of the Sodalitas product-set and now also heads our nfpservices compnay delivering software solutions to the Charities & CRM marketplace using CiviCRM

Roger Hough MBA (technology) – Projects Director

Prior to joining MTL in 2001 Roger held a variety of senior positions within the IT sector. He was a senior designer with ICL, Information Systems Manager at the Council for National Academic Awards (CNAA), Information Systems Manager for The Labour Party and held consultancy and technical roles in the Not for Profit sector. Roger was appointed initially to be the Senior Project Manager for the MTL implementation at UNISON and he retains personal responsibility for this. Roger joined the management team in April 2008 and he couples his responsibility for UNISON with an overseeing role for other MTL project managers and customers. He also has line management responsibility for the MTL Training Department.

Brendan Galvin – Software Development Manager

Brendan has just celebrated 21 years' service for MTL. He is a “hands-on” Project Manager with over 25 years experience of the creation and implementation of computer systems, the most recent 12 years' specialising in Oracle based technologies. During that time Brendan has been responsible for the delivery and maintenance of MTL’s systems to several key customers. Brendan now manages all software development with prime responsibility for the SodalitaS product suite. This responsibility combines the supply of product enhancements, bespoke software to meet unique customer requirements, and software maintenance. Brendan is in charge of our new fully web based 'MERLIN' eServices and examination systems.

Hitesh Sharma – Senior Project Manager

Hitesh Sharma is a Senior Project Manager at MTL, focussing on project management, business analysis and process reviews.  Prior to joining MTL, Hitesh was a Senior Consultant at a leading financial services consultancy. His projects have included a process review of leading global investment banks and development of a target architecture and roadmap for the operations of a major European investment bank.  Hitesh has strong analytical, communication, planning and organisational skills.  He has a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems from Brunel University and an MSc in Business Systems Analysis and Design from City University.

Tim Shute – MTL Ireland Manger

Tim brings in many years of experience of managing software delivery. He previously worked with MTL for 14 years from 1984 rising to the post of Associate Director. He then moved to Ireland as a Technical Account Manager for NiSoft Uk Ltd and re-joined after 10 years in 2008 to head MTL Ireland based in Belfast and Dublin. He is responsible for managing software delivery to all Irish clients and for ensuring that all Irish clients are receiving a professional and appropriate service. Tim has B.Sc. (Hons), Environmental Biology and PGCE from University of London, DMS from London Business School and RSA, Business Japanese from the University of Surrey
